Entrepreneurship and Enterprise

Entrepreneurial activities include work produced by designer-makers, musicians and performers and training teams.  Money from these business ventures is managed by members and used to pay for activities of their choice.

Inspire members are learning new business skills, making things to sell through creative workshops, arts and crafts and sewing, The News Group go out into the community to report on topics of interest to our members, the Quality Team assess public services, and our busking band provide public performances in the city centre.

The members are passionate about the benefits of training and about being involved in the delivery of training themselves. Funding from Futures enabled a Training Team to co-design and produce a course to help participants overcome barriers to work, learning and volunteering by inspiring them and informing them of opportunities available for employment, self-employment, volunteering and further training.
