Inspire Vacancy - Admin Officer (NOW CLOSED)

Responsible to the Inspire Manager for the management of the office and for financial administration. You will be part of a small busy team at Inspire Nottingham, a charity that provides services and support for people with learning disabilities.

You will have previous experience of office administration, working as part of a small multi-tasking team and finances. Good IT Skills, ability to maintain a busy workload, flexibility and proactive attitude are all essential. We welcome any applicants who fully meet the essential requirements of the person specification.

18 ½ hours per week (times to be arranged)

Starting salary £15,000-£15,500 pro rata depending upon experience & qualifications with the opportunity to progress to £16,200 pro rata after satisfactory completion of a probationary period

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday August 27th

Fitness Taster Day Saturday February 6th 9.30 -3.30

Invitation to all people with learning disabilities to come to Inspired Fitness Taster Day either on your own or bring your friends family and/or carers.

It will be great fun, it’s free and so is lunch Saturday February 6th 9.30 -3.30 at the International Community Centre

Join us for the day or just part of it. Try a range of different fun activities and see what you like, have a go at some of the following:

• Yoga
• Capoeira
• Brazilian dancing/Belly Dancing/Salsa
• Seated exercises
• Circuit Training
• Tai Chi
• Football skills (weather permitting)

All session leaders will have experience of working with people with different levels of ability and activities will be at a basic introductory level.

Book your place now – places are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.  Registration is at 9.30 and 12.00 and you must register before you can take part in any activities!

Thank You for making our ‘Shouting Out 10th Anniversary Celebration’ a success! We look forward to many more successful years and conferences like this one.

• Shouting Out Conference and Tenth Anniversary Celebration and Awards was a huge success, because of the participation of our guests, the members felt empowered and confident enough to ‘own’ their statements, and really made the day one to remember. Our bellydancing ‘finale’ was the perfect way to end the day. Here are some of the things that went on:
• Shouting Out and Mablethorpe DVD Premier
• Singing and Performances by members
• Volunteer Awards
• Celebration Cake
• New project called ‘Inspired Fitness’ is in full swing, this new project means we’re all getting fitter and healthier.

• Exciting work with Brit Films and the MTV Boom! project to help members develop their acting skills and also produce short films.
• Holiday to Mablethorpe in May was a huge success and was the first holiday ever for some! Disco night, bowling, meals out, swimming, and late-night trampolineing it all went on!! We really enjoyed our holiday and are looking forward to more.  
• Exciting new shop location has improved awareness about our organisation and has proved to be a wonderful opportunity for us to be closer to the city centre, and increase awareness of our cause. Clear you clutter and bring in a donation!
