Inclusive Technology

Funding from Awards for All enabled us to develop an ‘Inclusive Technologies’ project to address the high levels of digital exclusion faced by people with learning disabilities.

PCs, laptops and an interactive smart-board provide members with the opportunity to learn and develop their computer skills on all our courses. The introduction of laptops has been particularly successful, with some members accessing a computer for the first time.

IT is used every day on our courses and it would be impossible to measure the sense of pride in achievements that we have witnessed as a result of this project. In addition, members engage in photography, film-making and editing, DJ technologies, blogging and the use of social media.
